The Artwork: These stained glass windows depict various brightly-colored nature scenes. The windows were designed by William Saltzman and fabricated by Gaytee Stained Glass, Inc. The windows were dedicated on April 12, 2002 for the opening of the new library. The artwork is located in the Edina Public Library.

The Artist: William Saltzman (1916-2006) was a Minneapolis artist whose work graces churches and institutions throughout the Midwest. Saltzman is known for using many mediums from stained glass, to copper, to two dimensional art. Saltzman was always fascinated with light, color, shape and texture. He taught at several colleges including Macalester College for 17 years. He retired from teaching in 1983 as Professor Emeritus.

The Funding: The windows were funded through Hennepin County 1% for art.
