The Heritage Preservation Board (HPB) advises the City Council, City
Manager and other City boards and commissions on all matters relating to
heritage resource preservation, protection and enhancement in the community.
The Board safeguards the significant heritage properties of the City by

Heritage Landmarks. In addition, the Board is responsible for developing and
maintaining a comprehensive preservation plan; reviewing applications for
City permits in relation to properties designated as Edina Heritage
Landmarks; and encouraging the preservation, rehabilitation, restoration and
reconstruction of significant heritage properties through public education.
The Heritage Preservation Board, provided for in
City Ordinance
1504, typically meets at 7 p.m. the second Tuesday of most
months (see schedule below). All meetings are open to the public and held at
Edina City Hall, 4801 W. 50th St.
Current members of the Heritage Preservation Board include David Anger, Chair Claudia Carr,
Jennifer Christiaansen, student Samuel Copman,
Colleen Curran, Ross Davis, student Anna Ellingboe, Joyce Mellom, Vice Chair
